Right now, you are cleaning up someone else's mess. Think "generation ruins" here. Well, this is the physical representation of some other things that you are doing. The generation before left a mess behind to clean up, and its affecting everyone. There are surely maintenance issues on a cabin just as there would be with a house as well as the famed "cabin opener" weekend that the entire state seems to head up North for. But what you are describing is something altogether different. Dumping things at the cabin that you don't want to deal with and leave for someone else? Denial and leaving someone else to deal with its effects. Mice, things being overrun with pests? Poor maintenance and a lack of vision for what is necessary in years to come rather than just in the now. I could go on, but you get it. This is just a season. There will come a time when the cabin doesn't represent industry and labor, and Captain Industry and Labor will be able to go up there and get some rest, too. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
